Airline Approved Pet Friendly Carriers

Using airline approved pet carriers for your plane trip will help keep you and your dog stress-free. When it comes to pet carriers, you want to be sure that you are absolutely certain before heading to the airport that you understand all of the requirements and guidelines that you will need to meet if you’re going to be allowed to take your pet on board. You and your pet will be very upset if you find out that your pet carrier is not ‘flyable’ once you arrive at the airport. By making sure you are traveling with an airline approved carrier, you can avoid these types of situations.

The size of your pet will largely determine how he or she will be traveling during the flight. During air travel your large dog will be riding in another area of the plane, separate from the passengers. This is a reason that you might have to spring for an oversized regulation pet carrier. Your animal will have to wait to check in until you have given your name, address, and destination. All the required information to connect your pet to you will be posted on the pet container to ensure that you will never be permanently separated.

Smaller dogs and cats can be brought into the passenger area of the plane as carry on luggage. You are only allowed to do this if the carrier you have meets airline regulations. Specific dimensions must be met in order to qualify as a carry-on. The safest place for the pet carrier is on the floor in front of you. If you do this, your animal will be able to rest contentedly, since you’re nearby.

It’s very important for your pet’s travel comfort that you shop for a carrier of the right size. Room for turning and laying down is essential for the animal’s comfort. It’s imperative that your airline approved pet carriers satisfy your pet’s demands in these areas. Your vacation could be postponed because of failure to find an airline-approved carrier ahead of time for your air travel.

For a simpler trip, make sure that your luggage isn’t too bulky or too heavy and is easy to maneuver. One of the things you should also look for in pet carriers is the ability to roll on wheels while moving. This is a good rule of thumb for a pet of any height and weight. Its a lot of work carrying your pet, why not let them ride in style in a nice wheeled pet carrier.

You love your pet like family, so why would you settle for any method of travel less safe than an airline approved pet carrier? Invest in a carrier that satisfies airline rules and lets your pet move freely inside. Then you can be confident that they will always be safe and secure in their carrier when they are traveling.
